Ryanair Group Polish subsidiary, Buzz, has broadened its presence in the Irish market, moving beyond core scheduled operations on behalf of Ryanair to operate a series of selected charter flights on behalf of tour operators recently.
According to Dublin Movements blog on 7 and 9 March, Buzz conducted flights to and from Grenoble, Marseille, and Montpellier, in support of the Six Nations rugby match between Ireland and France, held in Dublin on 8 March. The flights were operated using two Boeing 737-8AS aircraft: SP-RKL (msn 44786) and SP-RSF (msn 44840).
In addition on Sunday, 13 April, Buzz aircraft SP-RKL Boeing 737-8AS (msn 44810) was deployed on a multi-leg sector between Katowice, Dublin, and Maastricht, operating under flight numbers RYS948/9444/949.
Buzz, which operates a fleet of 74 Boeing 737 aircraft, including 18 Boeing 737-8200 MAX ‘Gamechanger’ models, is steadily increasing its charter and scheduled flight services from its Central and Eastern European bases on behalf of parent Ryanair DAC.
The airline’s operational flexibility is further enhanced by Ryanair Group’s multi-AOC (Air Operator Certificate) structure, which includes subsidiaries in Ireland, Malta, Poland, and the UK. This approach allows Ryanair to maximize opportunties.
