In a Linkedin post Rennes Bretagne Airport announced after a successful 2024 summer season, announced the resumption of the seasonal direct connection between Rennes and Dublin, operated by Emerald Airlines, exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional, with 2 flights per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 19 April to September 27, 2025, using ATR72-600 aircraft.
Emerald Airlines Commercial Director Ian Lough, said “We look forward to welcoming passengers for this exceptional new season.”
Rennes Bretagne Airport Director Yannick Bouiller stated “The success of the Rennes-Dublin line in 2024 has demonstrated its relevance. Its reopening responds to strong demand from travelers and actively contributes to the international development of our airport. This connection represents much more than just a flight: it strengthens the links between Brittany and Ireland, whether cultural, economic or academic.”
Ireland has emerged as a key partner for Brittany, with growing collaboration in agri-food, digital technology, and renewable energy sectors. A direct connection between the two regions aims to boost trade and deepen economic ties.
