Edeis Tours Val de Loire Airport announced on its Linkedin page Aer Lingus Regional will launch a new route from Dublin Airport to Tours, France, exclusively operated by Emerald Airlines. The service will operate weekly on Saturdays from 6 June to 29 August 2026, using 72 seat ATR72-600 aircraft.

Tours is the largest city in the region of Centre-Val de Loire, France, itss a university town between France’s Cher and Loire rivers. The catchment area includes 2 million inhabitants within a 1.5-hour drive of the airport. Once a Gallic-Roman settlement, today Tours is a university town and a traditional gateway for exploring the chateaux of the Loire Valley region. Major landmarks include the cathedral, Saint-Gatien, whose flamboyant Gothic facade is flanked by towers with 12th-century bases and Renaissance tops.
