Ryanair Group CEO Michael O’Leary said “As Malta’s no.1 airline, Ryanair is pleased to add an 8th B737 “Gamechanger” based aircraft in Malta, a $100m investment in Malta tourism, generating over 30 new direct jobs. Ryanair is also growing its Malta Summer schedule with 2 new routes to Glasgow and Rzeszow (Poland) and increased frequencies on 18 other routes, offering Maltese citizens/visitors an even wider range of travel options at Europe’s lowest fares.

As an island economy, it is vital that Ryanair continues to grow low-cost visitor access on a year-round basis to Malta. Ryanair’s Summer 2025 schedule will feature 8 based B737 aircraft (an $800m investment), on top of recent investments such as a 1-bay maintenance facility and the expansion of Ryanair’s Office in Malta, highlighting Ryanair’s commitment to enhancing Malta’s air connectivity, tourism, jobs, and economic growth.”
