Pegasus Airlines Switches Dublin route from Ankara to Istanbul - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines is switching existing Dublin route from Turkish capital Ankara to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, operating twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturday using 186 seat Airbus A320Neo aircraft, effective from 30th October 2024.

In a Facebook post dated 7 October Pegasus Airlines stated ““No direct flights from Istanbul to Dublin?” Well, you ask we deliver!.”

The carrier will compete with Turkish Airlines operating 14 times weekly to Istanbul Airport.
Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW), lies located on the Asian side of Istanbul, served over 37.1 million passengers in 2023 and is ranked as the 2nd busiest airport in Turkey and 9th busiest airport in Europe. It is also world’s busiest single runway and single terminal airport.
