Ryanair, began construction of its new €40 million aircraft maintenance facility Hangar 7 at Dublin Airport. The 120,000sq foot state-of-the-art 4 bay hangar, will create over 200 new highly paid and high skilled jobs for engineers and mechanics.
The new hangar at Dublin will also be one of the most environmentally efficient hangars in the EU with gas absorption heat pumps reducing energy use by up to 35%.
The new Hangar 7 will be located opposite the existing Hangar 6 but south of the approach for the North Runway. The development will consist of the construction of a single-storey, part two-storey four-bay hangar designed to accommodate up to 4 Code C Aircraft, with associated maintenance facilities, ancillary offices and staff areas.
The hangar will facilitate the heavy and line maintenance of Ryanair’s growing fleet as the airline continues to take delivery of more efficient new technology Boeing 737-8200 “Gamechanger” aircraft and new Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft from Spring 2027.
The carrier currently has 33 Boeing 737-800 aircraft based at Dublin and plans to increase to 34 Boeing 737s from 31 March, including swapping over 14 Boeing 737-800 aircraft for Boeing 737-8200 “Gamechanger” aircraft.

Ryanair’s new state-of-the-art 120,000sq foot facility will be one of the most environmentally friendly hangars in Europe and will facilitate the maintenance of our growing fleet as we continue to take delivery of new technology 737-8200 “Gamechanger” aircraft (which cut CO2 by 16% and noise by 40%).”
