Irish budget carrier Ryanair announced that Dublin Airport the first Ryanair base to receive the carrier’s new 228 seat Boeing 737 MAX-10 aircraft, If the independent IAA Regulator implements these proposed 15% cuts to Dublin Airport fees. The Boeing 737 MAX -10 will offer 21% more seats per departure compared to 189 seat Boeing 737-800.

Ryanair’s network average seat gauge per aircraft will increase by 17 (9%) seats from 189 (2019) to 206 (2034) seats with Boeing 737 MAX -10 deliveries. Dublin Airport as Ryanair’s second largest base, will therefore see an increase to average seat gauge and overall capacity.

Ryanair DAC CEO Ryanair’s Eddie Wilson said “If the independent IAA Regulator implements these proposed 15% cuts to Dublin Airport fees, then Ryanair will respond with a record Summer ‘27 schedule, adding up to 2m more low-fare seats and 3 new based aircraft for Summer ‘27, making Dublin the first airport to receive Ryanair’s new Boeing 737 MAX-10 aircraft, which are 50% quieter, burn 20% less fuel and carry 20% more passengers per flight. This transformative investment will grow new routes and jobs in Dublin, boost inbound tourism and trade, and deliver significant economic growth for Ireland.”

Ryanair currently has 35 Boeing 737-800/8-200 aircraft based at Dublin.
