United Airlines Kicks Off Significant Dublin Expansion - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

United Airlines has officially launched its largest-ever flight schedule between Dublin and the United States, offering 40% more seats on its transatlantic routes. Starting March 30, 2025, the airline commenced double daily flights between Dublin and Newark, as well as Dublin and Washington Dulles, using Boeing 757-200 aircraft with 176 seats.

In a further boost to its Dublin services, United also recommenced its seasonal Dublin to Chicago O’Hare route on the same day. This route, previously serviced by a Boeing 757-200, is now operated by a three-class Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, offering 243 seats.

Additionally, United’s year-round service between Dublin and Chicago O’Hare, operating as UAL23/2, now features the Boeing 777-200ER. This aircraft, equipped with 276 seats, includes 50 all-aisle-access United Polaris business class seats, 24 United Premium Plus seats, 46 Economy Plus seats, and 156 economy seats, further enhancing the passenger experience.

With these service enhancements, United aims to meet growing demand and strengthen its position as a leading carrier on the Dublin-to-U.S market.
