Ukrainian Cavok Air AN-12 visits Dublin Airport - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

53 year old UR-CKL Antonov An-12BK msn 1348005 operated a charter from Riga (RIX), Latvia to Dublin on 3 April as ‘CVK7012’ arriving 1927 local. The aircraft remained in Dublin for a number of days , departing on 6 April at 0931 local to Ostend (OST), Belgium as ‘CVK9015’.

According to Flightradar 24 data pre Dublin visit aircraft was operating in North America visiting Atlanta (ATL), Everett (PAE), Montreal (YMX) and post in Africa visiting Addis Ababa (ADD), Cairo (CAI) and Djibouti (JIB).

Cavok Air based in Kyiv operates seven Antonov An-12B aircraft specializing in air cargo, cargo charters, DG and special cargo transportation services.

The An-12 was originally designed as a military transporter has great operational flexibility can operate at remote cargo aprons from concrete and unpaved runways, including grass landing strips. The aircraft is fully European airspace compliant with both EGPWS and TCAS systems has stage III noise level, has a payload of 18000Kg (39683lbs).
