Ryanair UK Takes Flight from London Stansted to Turkey - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Ryanair UK has expanded its network with the launch of its inaugural services to Turkey. On December 1st, the airline took off from London Stansted for the first time, offering new connections to the Turkish cities of Bodrum and Dalaman.

The inaugural flight to Bodrum Airport (BJV), operated under the flight number RUK7056/7, was flown on Ryanair’s Boeing 737-8AS aircraft, registration G-RUKE, while the Dalaman service (RUK7058/9) was operated by another Boeing 737-8AS, G-RUKJ. Both routes will run twice a week, offering leisure and business travellers more options in Turkish market.

Ryanair’s entry into the Turkish market dates back to 2018, when the airline, through its Ryanair DAC brand, launched services from Bratislava and Dublin to Dalaman. The following year, it expanded with a new route between Dublin and Bodrum.

The airline’s expansion to Turkey is expected to further cement its position as a dominant force in the European low-cost travel market.
