Ryanair will increase capacity at Ireland West Airport airport by approximately 10% in 2025, adding capacity to popular services to Alicante, Malaga, and Faro announced the airport on 3 January 2025.

Throughout 2024 Ryanair has progressively expanded use of Boeing 737-8-200 ‘Gamechanger’ aircraft on routes from Alicante, Bristol, Cologne, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Faro, London Luton , London Stansted, Manchester, Malaga and Palma to Ireland West Airport .

The 737 MAX 8-200 features cutting-edge engine technology, offering a 16% improvement in fuel efficiency over the previous generation, a 40% reduction in noise emissions, and 8% lower nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. Additionally, the aircraft boasts a 4% increase in passenger capacity per aircraft (197 seats).
