The Ryanair Group carried a record 21 million passengers in August, a 2% increase year-on-year, as the airline continues to expand its operations across Europe. The monthly total includes an additional 500,000 passengers compared to August 2024, with the group maintaining a steady load factor of 96%.
Over the 12 months to the end of August, Ryanair Group transported 203.6 million passengers — up 6% compared to the previous rolling year — underscoring its position as Europe’s largest airline group by passenger volume.
As of 31 August, the Group operates a fleet of 629 aircraft, including three Bombardier Challenger 300 business aircraft. Dublin-based Ryanair DAC remains the largest operator within the group with 333 aircraft. The other subsidiaries include Malta Air (179 aircraft), Buzz (76 aircraft ), Lauda Europe (26 aircraft), and Ryanair UK (15 aircraft).
Fleet expansion continues with deliveries from Ryanair’s order of 210 Boeing 737-8200 “Gamechanger” aircraft. As of the end of August, 189 units had been delivered, including eight aircraft handed over since July 31 to subsidiaries Buzz and Ryanair DAC, with 21 outstanding aircraft to be delivered by end of year.
