Dublin Airport announced on company LinkedIn page Hainan Airlines will now operate their Beijing Capital International Airport service daily from the 22nd June. The route will operate year round with daily flights this summer, strengthening long-haul connectivity between Ireland and China. The carrier operates 292 seat two class Airbus A330-300 aircraft and Boeing 787-9 aircraft on the route.

In an LinkedIn post Retail & Engagement Strategist @ Really Good Culture Phil Mc Mahon stated “Direct air routes shape trade, tourism, education, investment, cargo movement, diaspora links and cultural exchange. They make relationships easier to build and they reduce friction. China is not š˜«š˜¶š˜“š˜µ another destination. It is a major economic, political and consumer market, and one that Irish businesses, universities and tourism bodies will continue to engage with.”

Irish citizens holding an ordinary Irish passport travelling to China for business, tourism, family or friends visit, exchange and transit are eligible for up 30 days visa-free entry until 31 December 2026
