Emerald Airlines, exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional, recently welcomed Taoiseach (Prime Minister) Simon Harris on-board one of its twice daily ATR72-600 flights from Dublin to Donegal.

The Taoiseach had series of engagements in Co County Donegal, including a speech at The 44th MacGill Summer School. The annual event, is in association with the University of Notre Dame, bringing together experts across several fields to discuss the issues of the day on a national and international level and a visit to No Barriers Foundation in Letterkenny.

Donegal Airport was voted as the most scenic airport in the world 2018 t0 2020, a bucklist for landing for global travel fans . Throughout the years voters praised Donegal’s “stunning varied scenery”, its “beautiful beaches in the vicinity of the airport” and the sweeping views of Mount Errigal and The Rosses on the approach.

Donegal Airport is located at Carrickfinn Co. Donegal on the northern headlands of the Wild Atlantic Way. Aer Lingus and Loganair operate year-round services from Donegal to Dublin twice daily enabling global connections through DUB Hub and Glasgow three times weekly.
