US carrier Delta Air Lines is upgrading its Boston-Dublin service (DAL154/5) effective from 26 October 2025, by replacing the 225 seat Boeing 767-300ER with the thee class 281 seat Airbus A330-900neo operating four times weekly on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sundays. The transition from the 767-300ER to the A330-900 on the Dublin route boosts Delta’s capacity by approximately 25%.
The inaugural A330neo service was operated by the brand-new Airbus A330-941, registration N432DX (MSN 2076) delivered on 20 February 2025.
Delta Airlines first debuted the Airbus A330NEO on New York JFK to Dublin route in January 2022, as N411DX Airbus A330-941 msn 1991 operated DAL44/5 in special TEAM USA Livery. In Summer 2025 on selected dates the A330neo was deployed on Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) DAL176/7 services and previously serviced Dublin to Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) route between 20 April and 7 May 2025.
Delta was the launch customer for the A330-900, ordering 25 in November 2014. The airline currently operates 36 A330neo’s with a further three schedule for delivery, with an average age of 2.9 years. The A330neo is a more efficient aircraft, delivering 25% lower fuel burn than previous generation aircraft and the lowest seat-mile cost in its category.
