Irish ACMI operator CityJet has added another Mitsubishi CRJ900ER to its fleet, taking delivery of former Estonian-operated aircraft EI-JAE (msn 15276). The aircraft, named Durin Viking, was ferried from Maastricht to Copenhagen on 27 July as flight BCY9043 before entering revenue service for Scandinavian customer SAS the following day. On 28 July, EI-JAE operated flights SK2751/2752 between Copenhagen and Warsaw Chopin.
Fleet data from Planespotters.net shows the aircraft was originally delivered to Estonian Air as ES-ACD in December 2011. Following the airline’s closure, it subsequently flew for Estonian operators Nordica, Regional Jet and Xfly between 2016 and 2020. CityJet is one of SAS’s principal ACMI providers, operating a fleet of 19 CRJ900 and CRJ1000 aircraft on behalf of the Scandinavian carrier across its European network.
