airBaltic recommenced a direct service from Dublin to Riga, with the first flight of the summer season departing on 3 June, operated by YL-ABG A220-300 msn 55154 , offering passengers improved connectivity to Eastern Europe, following suspension on 5 January. The twice-weekly service (BTI661/2), operates on Wednesday’s and Sundays until 30 August, with a third weekly flight added for summer peak season on Fridays during August, using 148 seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft.

airBaltic has carried approximately 24.4 million passengers on the Airbus A220-300, since introduction in 2016, operating nearly 253 000 flights, and logged around 559 000 flight hours, demonstrating the suitability of this aircraft type for both shorter and longer routes.
