Aer Lingus announces Dublin-Faro Avois only flight - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Aer Lingus has revealed the return of its much-awaited Avios-Only flight, giving AerClub members a unique chance to book reward seats on a special flight to Faro, Portugal. For the second time, an entire Aer Lingus Airbus A320-200, with 174 seats, will be exclusively available for flights booked with Avios, the loyalty currency of AerClub. This flight will depart from Dublin on 17 August and return on 24 August 2025.

Aer Lingus Chief Customer Officer Susanne Carberry said, “We’re delighted to offer another exclusive Avios-Only flight, which provides AerClub members with a fantastic opportunity to use their Avios for a summer getaway to Faro. Portugal is one of our most popular destinations and after the success of our previous Avios-Only flights, which sold out in under three hours, we’re excited to bring this unique experience back, allowing members to turn their rewards into unforgettable travel experiences.”

Founded in 2016, AerClub now boasts a global membership base of over 3 million members. It offers four membership levels: Green, Silver, Platinum, and Concierge. AerClub members earn Avios, a reward currency, through various purchases such as flights, hotel bookings, car rentals, and shopping with hundreds of retail partners via the AerClub eStore, including brands like Life Style Sports, Deliveroo, and Brown Thomas. Members can redeem their accumulated Avios for flights, hotel stays, car rentals, and unique experiences, providing them with valuable savings on their travel expenses.
