Ryanair Group Receives 181st Boeing 737 MAX - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Boeing has delivered its 181st 737 MAX 8-200 “Gamechanger” aircraft to the Ryanair Group, with the latest delivery, registration EI-IKX (msn 62389) on 22 April 2025. RYR82X, flew overnight directly from Boeing Field to Dublin, arriving at 12:53 local time. The aircraft operated its first commercial service  following day, 24 April on RYR46/7 to and from Brussels Charleroi.

Since January, Boeing has delivered nine new 737 MAX 8-200s to the group. Of the nine aircraft, five were delivered to Buzz (SP-RZP msn 67117, SP-RZS msn 67069, SP-RZQ msn 67119, SP-RZU msn 62388, SP-RZV msn 62385), while four were received by Ryanair DAC (EI-IKP msn 67113, EI-IKX msn 62389, EI-IKY msn 62387, EI-IKZ msn 62386).

Ryanair DAC remains the largest operator of the MAX within the group, operating 119 MAX aircraft. Malta Air follows with 43 MAX 8-200s, while Buzz operates of 19 MAX 8-200s.

Looking ahead, the Ryanair Group is set to receive a further 29 MAX aircraft in fiscal year 2026, as part of its order book for 210 aircraft. The Ryanair Group operates a total of 620 aircraft.
