Milan Bergamo Airport – SACBO S.p.A. (BGY) celebrated Irish carrier Ryanair inaugural flight to Salerno, the newest gateway on picturesque Amalfi Coast. The service operates three times weekly (Tuesdays/Thursdays/Sundays) year-round operated by 189 seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The new route marks another milestone in Milan Bergamo Airport’s expanding domestic network, offering increased connectivity across Italy.

SACBO Director of Commercial Aviation, Giacomo Cattaneo, said “We are thrilled to welcome Ryanair’s new service to Salerno, which is a significant addition to our growing portfolio of domestic routes. This expansion demonstrates our ongoing efforts to improve connectivity for our passengers. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with airline partners to deliver more options and convenience for our customers.”

Bergamo Airport’s passengers will be one of the first in Italy with the opportunity to fly to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport following its recent reopening after nine year closure. Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport, is located in the comune of Pontecagnano Faiano in southern Italy, a UNESCO-designated region. It serves the city of Salerno and the coastal areas of Amalfi and Cilento.
