De Havilland of Canada demonstrator C-GVKI De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter msn 897 painted in Viking Air colours attended this year’s Farnborough International Airshow.

The aircraft departed to Shannon Airport on Thursday 25 July next day routing Shannon to Aer Arann’s headquarters for a demonstration at Connemara Regional Airport, Inverin, County Galway.

The Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft provides unrivalled Short Take Off and Landing (STOL) capability and acts as a regional connectivity transportation solution worldwide, while offering flexible quick-change interior options in its configurable 19-passenger cabin.

Aer Arann Islands have served Inis Mór, Inis Meáin and Inis Óirr for over 50 years operating year round; ferrying Islanders and visitors to and from the mainland, with frequent daily flights at less than 10 minutes , using a fleet of three Britten-Norman BN-2 Islander aircraft.
