Luxair’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 made its Dublin debut on Saturday 21 March, with LX-LBL (msn 64607) operating the Luxembourg (LUX)–Dublin service LGL4883/4884. The aircraft arrived at 12:24 local time and departed at 13:47.

LX-LBL has an Irish history, having previously flown as EI-GGL with Air Italy. The aircraft first flew on 5 October 2018 and was delivered on 20-21 November 2018 via Boeing Field–Shannon–Olbia.

Luxair ordered four 737-8s in 2023 and holds additional commitments for four 737-7s, bringing total firm MAX orders to eight. Following the initial lease of two 737-8s, Luxair has transitioned to direct deliveries. In July 2024, the carrier also ordered two 737-10s, with options for a further two aircraft.
