Visit Portugal Ireland welcomes Aer Lingus Faro year-round service - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

In an Linkedin post Visit Portugal Ireland Director Carlos Pinto de Oliveira welcomed announcement of Aer Lingus Dublin to Faro route becoming a year-round service.

Carlos Pinto de Oliveira stated “We’re thrilled that the Algarve is now an Aer Lingus year-round destination for the first time since 2018!. Explore the beautiful Algarve region, enjoy the stunning beaches, and soak up the vibrant culture all year long.”

The service will operate four times weekly using 174 seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

For summer season peak Aer Lingus significantly increases capacity, operating up to four times daily deploying 326 seat Airbus A330-300 on early morning EIN492/3 and three Airbus A320-200 services  throughout the day to meet market demand to the Algarve.

The Algarve enjoys over 3,000 hours of sunshine per year and a low annual average rainfall, the Algarve enjoys mild weather throughout the year, which is certainly a big attraction for visitors, year-round in the summer to enjoy the beach and in winter to relax or engage in a variety of activities.
