SunExpress, the joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, is set to make summer 2025 even more exciting for Irish travellers with the expansion of its route network. The airline will operate 14 weekly flights from Cork and Dublin, offering more opportunities for passengers to explore the vibrant destinations across Türkiye, using 189 Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
Starting in May 2025, SunExpress will introduce its first-ever services from Cork Airport, with a twice-weekly route to Izmir. This move enhances the airline’s already established presence at Dublin Airport, where flights to Antalya and Izmir will run at five and seven weekly frequencies, respectively.
This represents a significant increase from the summer 2024 schedule, which had three and seven weekly flights. With more flights, passengers can now enjoy greater flexibility when planning their summer getaways.
In addition to expanded routes, SunExpress is introducing a new range of fare options for summer 2025 to better meet the diverse needs of Irish travellers. The carrier’s new bundled options cater to a wide variety of customer preferences, offering different baggage allowances, seat reservations, check-in options, and booking flexibility, while also creating opportunities for greater savings.
In addition to ‘summer sun and beach’ travel, SunExpress is catering for a number of other types of travel for which Türkiye is popular including cultural, archaeological, and culinary tourism, and sports travel on a year-round basis.
