Flydubai has taken delivery of its latest Boeing 737 MAX 8, registered A6-FQI (msn 61032). The aircraft, which departed from Boeing Field in Seattle on July 28 using flight number ‘FDB9741’, made a technical stop at Shannon Airport, Ireland before continuing its final sector to Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Landing at Shannon at 12:37 local time on July 29, A6-FQI completed an overnight stay for technical checks before departing on July 30 for the final leg of its delivery route. It arrived in Dubai at 17:41 local time.

This delivery brings Flydubai’s total number of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft to six so far this year. The airline has been consistently receiving new aircraft, with previous deliveries including A6-FQE (msn 61027) on April 5, A6-FQF (msn 61029) on May 29, A6-FQH (msn 60991) on June 13, A6-FQG (msn 61031) on June 25, and A6-FQK (msn 61036) on July 18.

Flydubai remains the largest operator of the Boeing 737 MAX in the Middle East and the GCC region, with a total of 94 Boeing 737 aircraft in its current fleet. As part of its strategic growth, the airline continues to expand its network, announcing the launch of flights to four new destinations in Europe. Starting in September 2025, Flydubai will offer new routes to Chișinău and Iași, followed by services to Riga and Vilnius in December 2025. This expansion will bring the carrier’s European network to 35 destinations across 20 countries
