Shannon Handles 7th Flydubai 737 MAX Delivery - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Flydubai has strengthened its fleet with the addition of its seventh new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, registered A6-FQJ (msn 61033). The aircraft was delivered directly from Boeing Field in Seattle, departed 1814 on 8 August under flight number ‘FDB9741’ arriving in Shannon Airport next day 9 August at 1136 local time. After a technical stop at Shannon Airport, Ireland, the aircraft continued on its journey to Dubai International Airport (DXB), landing at 17:18 local time on 10 August.

This delivery marks the seventh Boeing 737 MAX aircraft added to Flydubai’s fleet in 2025, following a series of deliveries earlier in the year. Previous additions include A6-FQE (msn 61027) on 5 April, A6-FQF (msn 61029) on 29 May, A6-FQH (msn 60991) on 13 June, A6-FQG (msn 61031) on 25 June, A6-FQK (msn 61036) on 18 July, and A6-FQI (msn 61032) on 28 July.

flydubai has taken delivery of seven new aircraft so far in 2025, received between April and August, with a further five Boeing 737 MAX 8s scheduled to join its fleet before the end of the year. Once all 12 aircraft have been delivered this year, flydubai’s fleet will stand at more than 95 aircraft, supporting the carrier’s growing network of more than 135 destinations in 57 countries.
