Shannon Aviation Museum to caretake Irish Air Corps Museum collection - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Shannon Aviation Museum (SAM) announced via its Facebook page 12 March the arrival of Irish Air Corps SIAI Marchetti 231 , as the first of five Irish Air Corps Museum aircraft to be installed at over coming months.

Shannon Aviation Museum (SAM) stated on Facebook “We are proud to become caretakers of this important collection, will be admired by many and accessible to the general public, educating and inspiring young people to learn more, highlighting our national aviation heritage and the men and women who contribute so much to our country. Thank you to all the crew who helped in the logistics, disassembly transport, reassembly and installation of this fantastic exhibit, very much at home with R210 and F216.”
