On 3 April, Ireland West Airport took to its social media channels to mark the 20th anniversary of Ryanair London Luton route launched on 30 October 2005. Ireland West Airport stated “20 Years on and the service is going from strength to strength with Ryanair operating 11 flights weekly this summer.”
Ryanair remains a key player in the ongoing growth of Ireland West Airport, this summer offering flights to 17 destinations. The airline has increased its capacity by nearly 20%, expanding its services to popular sun destinations such as Alicante, Faro, Malaga, and Palma de Mallorca.
In addition Ryanair is enhancing UK connectivity, with the introduction of a twice-daily Monday service to Liverpool. Extra flights will also be available to key cities across the UK, including Birmingham, Bristol, London Luton, London Stansted, and Edinburgh.
This expanded schedule not only strengthens Ryanair’s presence at the airport but also supports the continued demand for both leisure and business travel from the West of Ireland.
