Ryanair Group CEO Michael O’Leary and his senior management team made a visit to Seattle in mid-January to meet with Boeing and celebrate the airline’s delivery of its 173rd Boeing 737-8200 “Gamechanger” aircraft. The aircraft, registered EI-IKP, a Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 (msn 67113), routed Boeing Field direct to Dublin on January 15th as RYR82P, landing at 1307 local time.

In an reply to Ryanair Linkedin Post President & CEO, Boeing Commercial Airplanes Stephanie Pope said “Thank you for visiting us in the Seattle area. Our team really enjoyed celebrating your latest 737-8-200 delivery and our partnership.”

Speaking on Q3FY25 conference call Ryanair Group CEO Michael O’Leary said “They are making progress, but it is slow progress, and we are very much at the front end of that slow progress. We had expected originally 25 aircraft for summer 2025, that then was reduced to 15, and now we’re back to nine aircraft.

We’re pretty certain we’ll get those nine aircraft, because most of those fuselages are actually already in Seattle. But there are no supply chain issues constraining Boeing at the moment. If you go to Seattle, they have lots of spare engines, there’s lots of spares there.”

In related news, the aviation database website Aviation Flights reported on February 1st that two Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 aircraft for Ryanair’s Polish subsidiary Buzz, were spotted on the flight line at Boeing’s Renton facility, with line numbers 9075 and 9080.
