Ryanair has reserved registration EI-HTA for its first Boeing 737 MAX 10 on 20 August 2026, with construction number 69046 now allocated. The Irish budget carrier ordered 300 737 MAX 10s from Boeing in May 2023 with 150 firm and 150 options for delivery between March 2027 and March 2034.

During Ryanair’s Q1 FY2027 earnings call on 20 July, CEO Michael O’Leary said Boeing expects MAX 10 certification by late September or mid-October 2026. Boeing continues to target delivery of Ryanair’s first 15 aircraft in spring 2027, with five initially planned for Dublin and 10 for London Stansted bases.

The 228-seat MAX 10 have 20% more capacity and a 20% reduction in fuel use per seat compared to older Next-Generation 737 models will support the airline’s planned traffic growth from 208.4 million passengers in FY2026 to 300 million annually by FY2034. Ryanair expects 50% of these deliveries will replace older B737NGs.

The MAX 10 is the largest 737 variant, measuring 43.8m and accommodates up to 230 passengers. Powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines, it offers a range of up to 3,300 nautical miles (6111.6km). The aircraft will be certified for operation with SAF blends of up to 50%. Boeing targets 100% SAF compatibility across its commercial aircraft families by 2030.
