Ryanair commenced operating to Milan Bergamo in 2002 and since then the airline has grown operations from three Boeing 737-800s to today 23 Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-8-200 ‘Gamechanger aircraft serving 116 domestic and international destinations. The airline recently opened routes to Beni Mellal, Biarritz, Castellón, Dubrovnik, Olbia, Sarajevo, Skiathos and Salerno. Today, Bergamo is Ryanair’s third largest base in its entire network.
The opening of the base contributed significantly to the growth of Milan Bergamo Airport. Over the last 22 years, Ryanair has invested extensively in its presence and operations at Milan Bergamo establishing training centers for engineers and flight crew, as well as five MRO Hangars.
