Ryanair announced its launching a new route from it’s London Stansted to Ostrava operating three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 2nd June and expects to carry 40,000 passengers on the route per annum.

In addition the carrier operates from Brno to London Stansted.

Ryanair’s Michelle Lowe said “Ryanair is pleased to announce a new London Stansted route to/from Ostrava, the 3rd largest city in the Czech Republic and Ryanair’s 180th destination. This new service will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 4 June 2013. Passengers in the Greater London and surrounding areas now have a choice of 2 Czech destinations (Brno & Ostrava) from London Stansted giving them even more choice than ever.”

Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic and the second largest urban agglomeration after Prague. Located close to the Polish border, it is also the administrative center of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
