New Cabin, New Comfort: Emirates Upgraded 777s to Serve Dublin - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Emirates is set to debut its newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300(ER) aircraft on its Dublin route starting 25 June, offering travelers the airline’s latest Business Class and Premium Economy cabin product. The route will be among eight new destinations to benefit from Emirates’ ambitious retrofit programme, which is progressing rapidly with a refurbished aircraft being introduced into service every three weeks.

The retrofit initiative, part of Emirates’ broader fleet enhancement strategy, aims to overhaul 44 cities with upgraded Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft by September 2025. The airline currently operates a double daily service between Dublin and Dubai using the Boeing 777-300(ER), and from this summer, flights EK161/162 will feature a four-class configuration, showcasing Emirates’ signature Premium Economy and redesigned Business Class cabins.

The newly refurbished Business Class cabin on the Boeing 777 offers a 1-2-1 configuration, allowing for increased privacy, aisle access, and ample space for working, relaxing, and unwinding. For the first time on the Dublin route, the aircraft will also feature 24 Premium Economy seats alongside 260 Economy Class seats, providing a premium experience for a wider range of passengers.

Emirates’ retrofit programme spans over 220 aircraft, making it one of the aviation industry’s most extensive undertakings. With an investment of $5 billion, the programme is designed to enhance customer experiences across Emirates’ global network, delivering state-of-the-art cabins and products.
