Danish airline JetTime has acquired a former Aer Lingus Boeing 737-400 on lease from Kahala Aviation Leasing, delivered on 6th October 2013. The conversion was performed at AEI’s Authorized Conversion Centre, Commercial Jet Services in Dothan Alabama.
OY-JTI Boeing 737-448(F) construction number delivered Dothan-PSM-Keflavik-Copenhagen on 5-6th October 2013. This is the first of two Kahala Aviation Boeing 737-400SF 11-pallet passenger-to-freighter (P2F) aircraft.
Robert Convey, vice-president of sales and marketing at AEI stated “The AEI B737-400SF 11-pallet p2f conversion is the industry’s preferred narrowbody freighter, which allows operators and investors alike to maximize their investment through market acceptance and recognition”.
According to Planespotters.net construction number 25052 was delivered to Aer Lingus as EI-BXI on 24th April 1991 and sold to ILFC in January 2004 and withdrawn from use in April 2005 and later served with Aerosvit in Ukraine as UR-VVL. The aircraft was registered N448KA on 7th March 2013 and ferried to Dothan Alabama on 17th May 2005 for cargo conversion.
Jet Time is a Danish airline based in Copenhagen Airport with a fleet of 15 ATR72-600s and Boeing 737-300/300QC/400SF/700s. It operates contract and ad hoc passenger and freight charters throughout Europe and short notice wet-lease charters for scheduled airlines, was founded by Danish investors in 2006.
