VT-IZI Airbus A320-271N (msn 8570) IndiGo, arrived at Ireland West Airport (NOC) on 14 September 2025 routing Bengaluru (BLR) via Istanbul (IST). The aircraft, operating as flight IGO9638, touched down at 1402 local time.The 6.9-year-old airframe, according to Planespotters, made its first flight on 9 November 2018 and was delivered to IndiGo on 5 December 2018. As of 14 September 2025, the aircraft is listed as stored at Knock.

IndiGo operates a fleet of 48 ATR 72-200s, 28 Airbus A320-200s, 183 A320neos, 3 A321-200(P2F)s, and 149 A321neos. The airline continues to expand its network and fleet, with a order for over 500 Airbus A320Neo family aircraft placed in June 2023. In June 2025, IndiGo further strengthened its long-term growth with an order for 69 Airbus A321XLRs, positioning the carrier for future expansion.

Additionally, IndiGo is preparing for a significant widebody expansion. The airline placed an order for 30 Airbus A350-900s in June 2024, and subsequently doubled the order in June 2025. The first A350 aircraft are expected to join IndiGo’s fleet in 2027
