EI-CPE A321 EIN

Three former Aer Lingus Airbus A321-211 EI-CPE msn 926, EI-CPG msn 1023 and EI-CPH msn 1094 have recently being re-delivered to new carriers post cargo conversion by ST Engineering, Airbus and their joint venture, Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) in China and Singapore. The aircraft where disposed to BBAM Limited Partnership (BBAM), as carrier downsized fleet to match reduced demand during global pandemic.  The aircraft where placed in interim storage in Ciudad Real and Nimes prior to positioning to Lasham, UK.

EI-CPE Airbus A321-211 msn 926 was re-registered as VP-CBS on 2 February and ferried to Guangzhou transiting Dubai World Centre and Kolkata. The aircraft was re-delivered 26 October to Air Asia in Teleport colours as 9M-TLB.

EI-CPG Airbus A321-211 msn 1023 was re-registered as VP-CBL on 11 April and ferried to Guangzhou transiting Heraklion and Dubai World Centre. The aircraft was re-delivered on 21 December to Air Asia in Teleport colours as 9M-TLP.

EI-CPH msn 1094 was re-registered as VP-CBO and ferried Lasham to Seletar transiting Heraklion 23 February.  The aircraft was re-delivered 16 December to BBN Airlines as TC-GCB.

Aer Lingus operated the CFM56-5B3/P powered Airbus A321-211 aircraft for 22 years. The aircraft where initially delivered in a two class 186 configuration with VGS seating for movable business and economy class depending on customer demand and later reconfigured into high density 212 seat economy class on operate high demand leisure routes. At its peak the carrier operated a total of six aircraft prior to disposal of three aircraft in 2010 and 2011.

The A321P2F provides a payload capability of up to 27 tonnes over 2,300 nautical miles, enabling containerised loading in both the main (up to 14 full container positions) and lower deck (up to 10 container positions) to meet demand in the fast-growing e-commerce sector, and express package market. The solution, which comes with optimised weight distribution to enable empty flights and random loading, accords high flexibility for operators, in particular express carriers.
