Emirates reveals top long-haul cities for Irish holidaymakers - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has revealed its top long-haul destinations for Irish holidaymakers. Emirates has been serving between Dublin and Dubai since 2012 operating double daily flights,  onboard Boeing 777-300(ER) aircraft, with connectivity to over 130 destinations around the globe, including Auckland, Delhi, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Singapore, Sydney, the Maldives and the Seychelles.

1. Dubai: Also known as the ‘City of Gold’ Dubai is the perfect destination for those who want to visit a dazzling metropolis full of amazing cultural touchpoints. Visit the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, experience a desert safari, lie on one of their many pristine beaches or have a luxury shopping experience.

2. Sydney: A destination that has been ranked as the second most popular travel spot in the world by Airbnb in 2023, it’s no wonder that Sydney comes in at number two on the list for holidaymakers travelling with Emirates from Ireland. The Australian gem has many iconic sites to visit during your stay like the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the famous Bondi Beach and the world-renowned Sydney Opera House.

3. Bangkok: In at number three, Bangkok is the perfect location for those looking for an exotic adventure. Known for its prominent food scene, vibrant nightlife and affordable shopping quarters, there is something to suit every taste, style and budget. If that’s not enough to entice you, Bangkok is a city rich in history and tradition. Irish tourists flock to the Thai capital every year to visit sites like the Emerald Buddha and the shining gold royal palace.

4. Cape Town: One of the most beautiful and photogenic cities in the world and number four on the hit list, Cape Town has everything to satisfy the Irish adventurer looking to explore South Africa. Bali: Coming in at a very respectable number five on the list of popular 2023 long-haul holiday destinations for Emirates customers in Ireland, this trending Indonesian island is popular with influencers all over the world for a multitude of reasons.
