Emerald Airlines secures British Airways wet-lease for Dublin-London Gatwick route - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute
Emerald Airlines ATR72-600 16 September

Emerald Airlines Ireland’s newest regional airline providing franchise, ACMI and private charter services, is to operate a new British Airways wet-lease on Dublin to London Gatwick route, effective from 20 May 2024 to 29 September 2024 operating 12 weekly flights utilizing ATR72-600 aircraft, under British Airways flight numbers.

The service will be timed to enable to enable connections to British Airways long-haul to Cancun, Punta Cana and Orlando and British Airways short-haul network operated by Euroflyer.

British Airways CityFlyer in mid 1990s operated ATR72-500 aircraft on Dublin-route.

Emerald Airlines as exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional franchise, operates 12 routes from Belfast City Airport, 15 routes from Dublin Airport and Cork to Bristol. The airline utilizing a fleet of 17 ATR 72-600 aircraft on Irish and UK AOC’s.
