EgyptAir on December 29 operated a one-time A321Neo service between Cairo and Dublin. The flight, operated by Airbus A321-251NX registered SU-GFX (manufacturer’s serial number 11557), under flight numbers MSR775/6. The aircraft touched down at Dublin Airport at 12:27 local time and departed back to Cairo at 14:37.
In February 2023, Egyptair became the first African airline to operate the A321neo, receiving its first of seven leased from Dublin-based AerCap. The aircraft features a two-class configuration with 16 Business Class seats and 166 Economy Class seats, offering a total of 182 seats. The A321neo enhances Egyptair’s capacity for key markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
The A321neo is the largest-fuselage member of Airbus’ best-selling single-aisle A320 Family and brings a 20 percent reduction in fuel consumption fuel burn and CO2 emissions per seat compared with previous generation competing aircraft. To date more than 6,700 A321neo aircraft have been ordered by more than 90 Airbus clients across the globe.
