On 23 December 2025, Air Calédonie’s ATR 72-600 registered F-OZNO touched down at Cork Airport (ORK), marking a remarkable journey far from its usual South Pacific stomping grounds. The aircraft, built in 2017 and previously registered as F-WWEH, is now part of Air Calédonie’s fleet serving New Caledonia.

“This sale is an additional effort made by the company to replenish our coffers. It’s a cash-saving measure,” explains Daniel Houmbouy, Aircal’s CEO. “Given our traffic and flight schedule, which have been significantly reduced, we didn’t necessarily need four aircraft.”

This particular 15 day ferry flight was anything but routine. The aircraft departed Nouméa (NOU) on 18 December, commencing an epic multi-leg journey that spanned continents. Its routing included Cairns (CNS), Darwin (DRW), Lombok (LOP), Singapore Seletar Airport (XSP), Chennai (MAA), Muscat (MCT), Cairo (CAI), and Bastia (BIO), before finally reaching Cork. Following its stop in Ireland, before continuing to Keflavik Airport (KEF) in Iceland to Iqaluit (YFB) and Churchill (YYQ) in Canada, Spokane (GEG) with final destination Coeur d’Alene (COE).

According to Planespotters.net the aircraft is parked for FedEx as N832FE.
