Ireland West Airport has unveiled its winter 2025 schedule, featuring 88 weekly flights and a 7% increase in seat capacity. The expanded programme offers over 400,000 seats across 11 routes, with 23,000 additional seats added compared to winter 2024.
The airport expects to serve more than 900,000 passengers this year, drawing travellers from the West, Northwest, and Midlands regions. The schedule includes a mix of winter sun and UK city break destinations.
Ryanair will operate flights to 10 destinations across the UK and Europe this winter, adding 20,000 extra seats and increasing frequencies on several high-demand routes. Aer Lingus will continue its daily London Heathrow service, offering onward global connectivity via its codeshare partners to over 80 international destinations.
Ireland West Airport Managing Director, Joe Gilmore said “On the back of our busiest summer season on record, we are pleased to see such a robust schedule of services available this winter with our airline partners Aer Lingus and Ryanair. With 88 weekly flights this winter and 18,000 weekly seats available on services to the UK and Europe, it promises to be a very busy winter season for the airport. We are particularly pleased to welcome the addition of over 20,000 extra seats by Ryanair this winter and the addition of extra flights on a number of their popular routes, as well as the continuation of their hugely popular weekly sun services to Lanzarote, Malaga and Tenerife this winter, providing a major boost for the airport and wider region. The Aer Lingus Heathrow service continues to go from strength to strength off the back of a robust performance during the summer season, with onward connecting traffic to North America, Europe and Australia continuing to grow. We thank Aer Lingus and Ryanair for their continued support for the airport and look forward to a busy winter season”.
