On Sunday, February 16th, at 1122 local time, a Boeing 737-79L (BBJ), registered B-3999, arrived at Dublin Airport from Munich, Germany. The flight, using callsign ‘BJN099,’ carried China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Yi. The aircraft is owned by Air China and operated by Beijing Airlines.

Minister Wang Yi is visiting Dublin as part of a European tour at the invitation of Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Simon Harris. His trip included visits to the UK for participation in the 10th China-UK Strategic Dialogue, alongside attending the 61st Munich Security Conference in Germany.

Beijing Airlines, a private VIP charter operator and majority-owned by Air China, is based at Beijing Capital Airport. The airline operates a fleet of four aircraft, including three Boeing 737-800 and  one Boeing 737-79L (BBJ).
