Airbus A350-900 Prototype Trail at Shannon - IrishAero - Irish Aviation Research Institute

Airbus Industries Airbus A350-941 registered F-WXWB ,msn 001 ‘Flightlab’ using flight number ‘AIB33WB’arrived in Shannon Airport 6 November at 1638 local. The next day testing commenced of  aircraft reverse thrust and brake systems, on runway 24 with a series of rejected take-off’s according to posts on Shannon Airport Plane Spotters Facebook page.

The aircraft using flight number ‘AIB34WB’ routed Shannon direct to Toulouse on 7 November departing 1738 local.

The 3,200m runway at Shannon is the longest in Ireland with unrestricted operations with no slots or curfews can cater for all certification and training flights.
