Aer Lingus has unveiled its 2025 trending destinations, with Europe continuing to dominate as the top travel choice for Irish holidaymakers. A remarkable 82% of Irish travellers are planning European trips in 2025, in line with findings from similar research conducted last year.
Spain remains the favourite, with 57% of Irish tourists heading to the Iberian Peninsula. Portugal (27%), France (24%), the UK (22%), and Italy (21%) complete the top five most popular European destinations.
North America also remains a major draw, with New York leading the pack at 34%. Florida (17%) and the newly launched Las Vegas route (12%) follow as the most popular North American destinations for travel.
