Irish carrier Aer Lingus has significantly increased deployment of Airbus A321LR capacity on its European network for Summer 2023 season. Aer Lingus has years of experience using A330s to Faro and Malaga, in between North American turnarounds at DUB Hub so A321LR is a very efficient operation.
In January 2016 former Aer Lingus CEO & current Director Stephen Kavanagh delivered to Raes Dublin branch titled “An Introduction to Aer Lingus – Guests, Growth and Gateway” stating “Airbus A321NEO-LR’s will feed Airbus A321NEO-LR through high daily utilization 20 hours of 24 hours on routes such as Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Rome FCO , where clear demand for AerSpace business product to provide consistent product.”
In the post Covid environment this high utilization strategy has been realized as per aircraft data extracted extracted from Flightradar24 for S23 schedule for its seven of its eight A321LR fleet based at Dublin and Shannon airports. The eighth A321LR aircraft G-EIRH msn 10319 is allocated Aer Lingus UK based at Manchester formerly registered as EI-LRH.
