Aer Lingus announced it carried 638,000 passengers in January up 3.6% including Aer Lingus Regional operations. The airline carried 518,000 passengers up 0.8% with a load factor of 62.7% up 0.2% on an 4.4% reduction in available seat kilometers and revenue per passenger kilometers was down 4.2%.

In Long-Haul it carried 55,000 passengers up 12.2% with a load factor of 68.2% up 6.4% on an increase of 2.9% in available seat kilometers and revenue per passenger kilometer was up 13.5%.

Aer Lingus Regional carried 65,000 passengers up 22.6%.

Compared to the Association of European Airlines (mainly so-called legacy carriers) as a whole, the Aer Lingus passenger load factor was lower on short-haul routes (62.7% v.65.8%) and much lower on the North Atlantic routes (68.2% v. 79.8%).
