Dublin City University (DCU) announced the creation of the DCU Sustainable Aviation Hub at Dublin City University Business School, established within the DCU Institute for Business and Society.

The Sustainable Aviation Hub is Led by Prof Marina Efthymiou. The Hub brings together a growing team of researchers and collaborators committed to advancing rigorous, policy-relevant research on the future of aviation in an era defined by climate transition, geopolitical uncertainty and structural change. The Group has formal collaborations (MOU’s) with the Irish Aviation Authority, Fingal County Council and daa.

The Sustainable Aviation Hub research spans:

⦁ ATC/Airline/Airport Operations and performance
⦁ Aviation climate policy and governance
⦁ Aviation and development in the Global South
⦁ Sustainable finance
⦁ Sustainable aviation fuel and decarbonisation pathways
⦁ The economic contribution of aviation
