International Airlines Group (IAG) carrier Aer Lingus has taken delivery of its sixth 184 seat Airbus A321XLR aircraft. The aircraft, registered EI-XLX (Airbus A321-253NY-XLR, MSN 12142), named St Brendan was delivered from Airbus’ Hamburg-Finkenwerder to Dublin Airport (DUB) on 30 January, using callsign ‘EIN2395’ arriving 1921 local.

According to flight tracking data from Flightradar24, EI-XLX entered revenue service on 7 February 2026 , operating two rotations Dublin–Paris CDG (EIN524/525) and Dublin-London Heathrow (EIN172/3).

The A321XLR (Extra Long Range) is key to Aer Lingus’ North American strategy, with a range of up to 4,700 nautical miles while maintaining the unit cost efficiencies of a narrowbody aircraft. The A321XLR allows Aer Lingus to serve new thinner North American routes profitably, and to increase frequency on existing routes and operate intra-European European routes delivering high asset utilization.
