ASL Airlines Ireland has begun positioning an Airbus A330-302(P2F), registered EI-LKD ahead of a planned ACMI deployment with Saudia Cargo, according to Flightradar24 data.
The aircraft, MSN 1272, was ferried from Dublin to Shannon Airport on 27 November in Saudia Cargo colours, operating under the callsign ABR330. The routing took the aircraft westbound over the Atlantic, with a recorded flight time of 2 hours 47 minutes. Between 27 and 29 November, the A330(P2F) completed a series of training flights at Shannon Airport, including sectors to Glasgow Prestwick.
On 30 November, the aircraft departed Shannon on a multi-leg positioning flight to the Middle East, routing Shannon–Liège–Dubai World Centre (DWC) under the callsign ABR2200. Further activity was logged on 29 December, when MSN 1272 conducted a short 15-minute circuit flight at Dubai World Centre, again using the ABR330 callsign.
The A330-302(P2F) is scheduled to operate under an ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) lease arrangement with Saudia Cargo, set to commence in Q1 2026. The agreement includes comprehensive operational support, encompassing dedicated flight and cabin crews, a full maintenance programme, and insurance coverage.
