KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is now operating the brand new Airbus A321neo on two of its six daily flights between Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) and Dublin (DUB), effective 26 October 2025. The inaugural A321neo KLM1141/2 service, operated by PH-AXK (Airbus A321-252NX, MSN 12664), touched down in Dublin at 1631 local time, before returning to Amsterdam at 1749.
KLM’s newly delivered A321neos accommodate 227 passengers across a two-class cabin. The aircraft features Airbus’ Airspace cabin, offering redesigned sidewalls and XL overhead bins with 60% more luggage capacity, streamlining the boarding process for passengers and crew alike. Every seat is fitted with USB-C power outlets, while the latest LED lighting system enhances comfort throughout the flight.
The A321Neo is powered by CFM International LEAP-1A engines and equipped with sharklets, the A321neo delivers a 20% improvement in fuel efficiency and CO₂ emissions, alongside a 50% smaller noise footprint compared to earlier-generation single-aisle aircraft. The type is certified to operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), supporting KLM’s sustainability goals. Airbus aims for its aircraft to be 100% SAF-capable by 2030.
The introduction of the A321neo follows the Air France–KLM Group’s December 2021 order for 100 A320neo family aircraft, with purchase rights for an additional 60. The order supports fleet renewal at KLM and Transavia Netherlands, and expansion at Transavia France.
